The Industry Consortium for Advanced Technical Training (ICATT) Apprenticeship Program is the ideal fit for anyone who is interested in pursuing a high-tech career but unsure how to begin.
The ICATT Apprenticeship Program is co-hosting a series of Open House events at ICATT Network Companies from April 30 to May 4. These events are a great opportunity for students and applicants to get a firsthand view of modern manufacturing, and learn more about prospective employers. ICATT aims to bring together smart, motivated future apprentices and leading high-tech companies to start conversations and establish relationships.
The question, “What should I do after high school?” is a serious one. Students need to explore their options in the real working world to make sure they’re making the right decisions after graduation.
ICATT Open House events offer students a chance to see manufacturing companies up close – not just on a website or in an article. Students are able to talk to the people in charge, ask questions, and get more information about the work companies do. ICATT also encourages parents to join their children at Open Houses, since an apprenticeship will positively affect the entire family.
The benefits of being an ICATT apprentice include:
- Gaining practical skills and knowledge for an in-demand profession
- Obtaining a debt-free associate degree (tuition, fees, and books covered) while earning a daily school stipend and a salary
- Receiving national and international credentials
- Increasing long-term career and salary opportunities
