DESCRIPTION:ICATT will be presenting about apprenticeships at SWIC’s Fall 2020 Job fair. We encourage greater STL based companies to take part as well to show off the unique apprenticeship opportunities in the area! Below is info from the college on the event. To participate\, contact Latesha Rogers latesha.rodgers@swic.edu \n  \nI hope you all are remaining safe and healthy during this time! \nRegistration for our Fall 2020 Job Fair is now open! We are delighted to provide this networking opportunity to our students\, alumni\, employer partners\, and community! \nIn order to ensure the safety of you and all job seekers\, we will hold a VIRTUAL job fair on Tuesday\, November 10\, 2020 from 9am- 4pm. With this change\, the format of the fair will be different than past years. Next week\, we will launch a virtual area where you will be able to link your calendars and video conferencing links to your profile to be available for the virtual job fair. By October 2nd\, I will send you specific information about the virtual function. Here is our plan for how the virtual fair will work: \n\nOnce the function is available\, all employers will be asked to provide descriptions for positions they are recruiting for. In addition\, you will be able to provide links to video conferencing for the day of the fair.\nOn the day of the fair\, employers are expected to hold one-hour slots that include 5-30 minute running presentations to job seekers\, as well as the opportunity for job seekers to ask questions.\nYou may run presentations for the entire 7 hours of the fair. Or\, you may choose to conduct presentations and leave some of your time to schedule interviews with candidates. Whatever you choose\, each participating company MUST be available to run presentations at least 3 times between 9am-4pm.\n\n  \nHow you will connect with candidates: \n\nBeginning Monday October 12th\, SWIC students and alumni will be invited to view employers’ profiles and submit their resumes to opportunities posted. You may begin to contact students and conduct virtual meetings prior to the job fair if you choose. Priority for meeting/interview slots will be given to SWIC students and alumni between October 12th- October 26th.\nBetween October 26th- 30th\, employers will be able to update any links\, job availability\, scheduled running presentation\, and additional information on their virtual job fair event profiles.\nBeginning November 2nd\, a downloadable pdf that includes the employer\, a list of opportunities available\, and a link to connect on the day of the virtual fair will become available to the public. While our job fairs are open to the public\, we cannot allow the public to connect with employers through College Central Network because it is to be used by students only. Therefore\, the public will only be able to connect with employers through the viewing of presentations. Should you desire to connect with public candidates beyond the scheduled presentation time the day of the job fair\, you must provide instructions for contact DURING the scheduled presentation time on November 11th.

DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite you to the first virtual Train the Trainer! \nOur popular course is now available for anyone\, anywhere. \nThe course is designed to help trainers plan and conduct training more effectively\, providing both theoretical and practical tools to anyone who regularly trains others. \nThe virtual Train the Trainer course includes a combination of live instructor-led training modules and self-guided training modules\, allowing participation from home or work. \nParticipants will learn much of the theoretical content through self-guided training outside of class – including videos\, quizzes\, and written assignments – and then come to the live instructor-led class to review\, apply\, and dive deeper into some of those concepts. \nRegister here! \nOr learn more about the new format here. \n  \nFirst 2 participants from an ICATT company are no cost.
