Bernadette is responsible for activities related to the Michigan Advanced Technician Training (MAT²; “Mat-squared”) apprenticeship program. The founding organization of ICATT, the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, has been award a contract to assist the management of the award-winning MAT2 program, which has a very similar structure to ICATT. Bernadette is instrumental in developing MAT2 through employer growth within Michigan. Prior to joining the German American Chamber of Commerce, she served high-risk high school students with career paths upon graduation, and was part of MAT2 in a role recruiting veterans for the program. Bernadette earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Community Development and Business Administration.
