Partnerships for the Future – Vocational Schools Meet Community Colleges: Dialogue on Apprenticeship Exchange brings together representatives from German vocational schools and U.S. community colleges to collaborate on transatlantic apprentice exchange programs. The project creates a space for dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and practical planning around building sustainable, high-quality international apprenticeship partnerships.
Through shared best practices, peer learning, and expert-led workshops, participating schools explore what it takes to design successful exchange programs—from setting clear participant criteria and engaging industry partners to developing reciprocal models and preparing students culturally and academically. The initiative supports institutions at every stage, from early concept development to concrete implementation, strengthening pathways for global workforce development.
