Recently, the ICATT Apprenticeship Program celebrated alongside network company Richard Wolf Medical Instruments Corporation as the company received the 2019 German American Chambers of Commerce (GACC) Apprenticeship Award.

The award honors companies investing in career pathways for future generations and the winner was announced during National Apprenticeship Week. Companies nationwide apply for this award and a jury decides on a winner based on several factors including the effectiveness of the apprenticeship program and success of current apprentices.

“Thank you to the German American Chambers of Commerce for the award. It is an honor to be recognized for the program we implemented with the assistance of the ICATT Apprenticeship Program,” said Executive Vice President Stefan Heffner. “We truly couldn’t have achieved this without the entire Richard Wolf team, especially our hard-working apprentices.”

Kevork Bardak, Maintenance Technician and Assistant Trainer and recent ICATT graduate, was also recognized for being a model apprentice and setting high standards for the program. Stefan Heffner, who started as an apprentice at Richard Wolf over 20 years ago himself, recognized the entire Richard Wolf team and the current apprentices for their dedication.

“We congratulate Richard Wolf for this well-deserved recognition,” said Director of the ICATT Apprenticeship Program Virginia Rounds. “To have Kevork’s responsibilities include training the next cohorts of apprentices is a great example of how Richard Wolf is leveraging the ICATT Apprenticeship Program to create a sustainable pipeline of skilled employees.”
