In the recent COVID-19 outbreak, several ICATT Network Companies are becoming part of the solution by remaining open and operational as essential businesses, including Chicago Plastic Systems.

Chicago Plastic Systems has been manufacturing plastic partitions for over 20 years, and now, this product is more important than ever before. The need for plastic partitions, often known as “sneeze guards”, have become a necessity for sanitation and social distancing purposes during the COVID-19 crisis.

“With grocery stores and other essential businesses remaining open, our production has significantly increased,” said Tony Salemi, Sales Manager Chicago Plastic Systems. “Companies everywhere are wanting to protect their employees and depended on us to manufacture the plastic partitions in various sizes and quantities.”

Recently, Chicago Plastic Systems supplied nearly 3,000 safety partitions for one of America’s largest companies.

“Our apprentice has been a great asset in our ability to respond to these swift changes. It shows the strength of the ICATT program and the quality of personnel it attracts. He gets to be involved in something vital to the changing needs of the Covid pandemic,” continued Salemi.

The company also produced a several thousand face shields for Chicago area hospitals for the frontline healthcare workers battling the pandemic.
