As head of the ICATT Apprenticeship Program, Mario oversees the program and is responsible for making the program accessible to companies throughout the Midwest. Additionally, he oversees the development of new apprenticeship profiles and ensures they meet industry-developed standards. In addition to the work Mario does for the ICATT Apprenticeship Program, he serves as the Vice President of the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC) Midwest. He joined the GACC Midwest in 2014 to build and lead the Skills Initiative, an effort that promotes apprenticeship training based on the German Dual Education System in the United States. Prior to joining the ICATT Apprenticeship Program and GACC Midwest, Mario worked with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry East Thuringia, where he was head of the international division.
